Dan Marshall

The son of artists, Marshall graduated from art college then immersed himself in the world of boating.

After building several narrow-boats and exhausting the waterways of the British isles, he moved his last boat to the continent chugging his way from Calais to the Mediterranean.

Now settled in France, he has since renovated a watermill on the Charente where he lives and paints.

He creates his works on metal and employs the skill and technique acquired from his narrow-boat coach-painting days.

Daniel’s pieces hang in several private collections from French châteaux to Kensington Palace and are a response to a life now lived in the lighter, warmer and more tranquil environs of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
